L’événement sportif, culturel, social organisé par ce duo de charme a diverti un mois durant, les jeunes des trois arrondissements de la ville de Garoua. Un vrai coup d’essai, un coup de maitre qui avait pour Parrain le Ministre de l’Agriculture Gabriel MBAIROBE.

La ville de Garoua a souvent connu des championnats de vacances. Mais jamais de l’avis de nombreux observateurs,  ces derniers n’avaient pas atteint le succès, le rayonnement de Garoua Football Challenge. Une Idée, un projet, un concept de deux fils de Garoua dont les actes de générosité à l’endroit de la Jeunesse, des populations de la capitale régionale du Nord voire de toute la région, n’ont plus de limite.

Le championnat de vacances Garoua Football Challenge est une parfaite illustration. Pendant plus d’un mois SOUAIBOU Hamadou et NODJINGAR ALIM Hamadou ont mis toute leur énergie sur ce championnat afin de permettre à la Jeunesse de Garoua et ses environs (BARNDAKE), d’exprimer mieux d’exposer ses talents. Un coup d’essai, un coup de maitre qui restera à jamais gravé dans les esprits. Certes, le football était l’attraction majeure mais, d’autres sports (athlétisme-Garoua Athletic Challenge) ou encore d’autres activités à l’instar des inscriptions sur les listes électorales, la sensibilisation anti-covid-19, ont meublé le projet.

La jeunesse active du Président Biya, la Presby, grâce au dynamisme de l’antenne régionale que préside SOUAIBOU Hamadou, a été très présente durant toute la période du championnat. On a vu cette jeunesse dans la sensibilisation anti-covid-19, sur les inscriptions sur les listes électorales mais également dans la mobilisation des jeunes pour qu’ils adhèrent au projet de société du Président Paul Biya.

Certains événements ont souvent été dédiés à des hautes personnalités. C’est le cas de Garoua Football Challenge qui avait pour Parrain le ministre de l’Agriculture et du Développement Rural Gabriel MBAIROBE, à travers le Grand prix qui portait son nom. Il s’est d’ailleurs montré à la hauteur du projet en apportant tout son soutien aux promoteurs et en répondant présent chaque fois qu’il avait été sollicité. Il a remercié  à plusieurs occasions les promoteurs surtout pour le bon travail qu’ils ont accompli pour la réussite de ce grand événement sportif. 

Les finales jouées de ce dimanche 19 septembre 2021, celle de football et celle d’athlétisme, ont illustré la grandeur de cet événement auquel la Jeunesse, les populations de Garoua ont massivement adhéré. De quoi encore rendu plus fier le Ministre Gabriel MBAIROBE, qui personnellement, a présidé la cérémonie avec ses côtés le Gouverneur de la région du Nord Jean ABATE EDI’I, le président du Conseil régional, le préfet de la Bénoué, le Maire de la ville de Garoua, le  Délégué régional des Sports et de l’Education physique, les responsables des forces de maintien de l’ordre. Pour le ministre Gabriel MBAIROBE, Garoua et sa population sont prêtes pour accueillir les équipes de la CAN Total 2021. Il a remercié le Président Biya pour avoir choisi Garoua parmi les villes appelées à abriter une poule de la CAN Total 2021.

Le spectacle a également été à la hauteur des attentes. Un vrai régal des yeux, la finale de la Coupe du Grand Prix Gabriel. Les 22 acteurs des deux équipes finalistes Barmari FC et Nigeriaré FC ont offert un spectacle des grands jours. La victoire de Barmari (1-0) est certes mérité mais les vaincus n’ont pas démérité. Grâce à leur capitaine, l’ancien Lion Indomptable Jacques ZOUA DOGARI, les joueurs de Nigeriaré FC ont tout fait pour remettre les pendules à l’heure mais en vain. La mi-temps a servi de cadre aux finales du relais 4X400m filles et hommes, remportées par Garoua 1er chez les filles et Garoua 2e chez les hommes.

D’où la grande satisfaction du Parrain le Ministre Gabriel MBAIROBE et surtout les deux jeunes promoteurs NODJINGAR ALIM Hamadou et SOUAIBOU Hamadou. Ils ont cherché l’admiration et le respect de la Jeunesse par leurs actes, ils l’ont trouvé. La Jeunesse de Garoua de l’avis de nombreux observateurs, se reconnait désormais en ces deux hauts cadres de l’administration camerounaise. En réaction à l’amour manifesté, le duo de charme a promis poursuivre cette belle aventure surtout que leur motivation s’inspire du dynamisme de la jeunesse et des populations de Garoua qui ont massivement adhéré répondu à l’idée, à leur Projet. Rendez-vous a été donné pour l’année prochaine mais le mois de novembre 2021 constituera un avant goût (6 novembre). Ce sera en l’honneur du Chef de l’Etat à l’occasion du jour anniversaire de son accession à la Magistrature suprême.
