Le complot ourdi contre cet ancien haut commis de l’Etat depuis la confection des listes des sénateurs RDPC par les nouveaux maitres et faiseurs de rois de la région du Nord, s’est poursuivi jusque dans son propre village Mayo-BANTADJE ce mercredi 22 février 2023. Cette fois avec la bénédiction de l’autorité préfectorale du département du Faro BABILA AKAOU, assisté du sous-préfet de Poli Arthur Armand OBAMA et surtout du Maire Sadou YAOUBA, lesquels se sont impliqués personnellement pour écarter les candidats non désirés par eux en l’occurrence le Dr AMADOU ALIM.

Les misères vécues ces derniers temps par le Dr AMADOU ALIM ressemblent à celles que rencontrent très souvent les membres de l’opposition radicale camerounaise, traqués et pourchassés un peu partout sans avoir rien fait, même dans leurs propres villages. Le Chef de la Délégation Permanente Départementale du Comité central du RDPC dans le FARO n’avait pas encore fini d’avaler la grosse couleuvre que ses camarades du parti avaient concoctée pour lui en l’écartant de la liste des sénateurs de la région du Nord, que ces derniers se sont rendus dans son propre village pour lui  empêché d’être le nouveau Lamido de Mayo-BANTADJE. A la manœuvre pour lui barrer la voie, le préfet du Faro BABILA AKAOU, le sous-préfet de Poli Arthur Armand OBAMA et surtout le Maire SADOU YAOUBA. Ce dernier s’est montré très impliqué comme s’il avait pour mission de régler les comptes à un tiers.

Mayo-BANTADJE

Mayo-BANTADJE ce mercredi 22 février 2023, il est 9 heures et la cour du lamidat de la localité grouille déjà de monde. Normal, c’est le jour de l’élection du nouveau lamido qui doit remplacer MOHAMAN BELLO MAIGARI, chef de 2e degré, décédé le 22 aout 2022 après 56 ans de règne. Les populations et les 4 candidats en lice (MOHAMAN TOUKOUR, BAKARY ABBA, OUMAROU BELLO et Dr AMADOU ALIM) attendent impatiemment les autorités administratives pour procéder à l’élection du nouveau monarque tel que le prévoit les textes et lois en vigueur et régissant le processus électoral au sein des chefferies traditionnelles. L’élection sera conduite par le préfet du Faro BABILA AKAOU, qu’assiste le sous-préfet de Poli. Un troisième Larron en la personne de sa Majesté Sadou YAOUBA, va se joindre à eux alors qu’il ne fait partie de la commission électorale en sa qualité de Lamido de 2e degré, susceptible d’influencer les électeurs.

Mascarade électorale

Après la lecture de l’arrêté qui institut le vote et l’élection d’un nouveau lamido, le préfet va poser la question de savoir s’il y a des candidats. 4 vont se présenter et il leur sera demandé de se concerter pour choisir la forme du scrutin. Revenus de la concertation, ils feront savoir au préfet qu’ils ont accepté d’un commun accord un vote public, libre, transparent et démocratique tel que le dispose la loi au cas où il y a plusieurs candidats. Ainsi, le nom du Monarque qui sortirait des urnes sera accepté par tous et fera l’unanimité. Mais à leur grand étonnement BABILA AKAOU, va rejeter en bloc cette proposition qui pourtant garantit la transparence prétextant qu’il avait reçu des informations faisant état de la présence des bulletins de vote préfabriqués et de l’achat des électeurs par certains candidats. « Nous avons reçu des informations faisant état de la présence des bulletins de vote préfabriqués par certains candidats ainsi que celles de l’achat de certains grands électeurs. Toutes choses qui défavoriseraient certains candidats par rapport à d’autres. En ma qualité d’autorité de tutelle, j’ai décidé de procéder au vote par consultation également prévu dans la loi pour éviter tout dérapage », se défend sans convaincre le Préfet du Faro, joint au téléphone par notre rédaction. Une décision unilatérale contre la volonté des candidats qui ne saurait convaincre personne pas même les plus naïfs y compris celui qui sortira vainqueur de cette mascarade électorale.

Une attitude du préfet qui a suscité des interrogations. En effet, comment est-il possible qu’un scrutin de consultation soit plus démocratique qu’un vote public organisé en présence de tous avec une urne, un isoloir et des bulletins secrets ? En clair il n’y a pas eu élection démocratique ce mercredi à Mayo-BANTADJE si l’on s’en tient aux dires de certains candidats et notables joints au téléphone. « Nous étions seulement surpris d’apprendre de la bouche du préfet qu’un vote à eu lieu et que le gagnant est OUMAROU BELLO. Nous ne savons ni comment le scrutin s’est déroulé ni comment le candidat déclaré vainqueur l’a été», indique MOHAMAN TOUKOUR, l’un des candidats malheureux. Le sénateur AMADOU ALIM quant à lui est formel : « Il n’y a pas eu vote ni avec les électeurs encore moins avec les candidats qui avaient pourtant souhaité qu’il y ait un vote public. Proposition que le préfet va rejeter pour la simple raison qu’il voulait introniser le fils ainé du Lamido OURAMOU BELLO. Et dès qu’ils ont déclaré leur candidat vainqueur, ils ont repris immédiatement le chemin du retour abandonnant tout ce que nous candidats, avions  pris soin de préparer pour eux », affirme Dr AMADOU ALIM, convaincu d’être victime d’un acharnement.

La consultation décidée par le Préfet va durer plus d’une heure d’horloge au terme de laquelle il sortira avec un procès-verbal dans lequel il y a un nom sans doute celui voulu par BABILA AKAOU, en la personne d’OUMAROU BELLO, fils du défunt MOHAMAN BELLO MAIGARI. Et les exemples sont d’ailleurs légions. En nous donnant ce détail, le préfet du Faro nous renseigne qu’il est parti de Poli pour Mayo-BANTADJE, avec un seul objectif celui de faire passer par tous les moyens, le fils du défunt lamido.

Dans le cadre de cette élection entachée d’irrégularités sans doute entretenue et voulue par des personnes tapies dans l’ombre depuis le sommet politique de la région du Nord, il est évident que le Préfet du Faro était en mission commandée à Mayo-BANTADJE. Il a oublié avec toute son équipe que le Cameroun du Président Paul Biya, est un Etat de droit, démocratique ; un Etat où le choix de la majorité prédomine. Les candidats avaient choisi le vote public mais BABILA AKAOU en a décidé autrement. Il avait pourtant à sa disposition, les forces de défense et de maintien de l’ordre parées à toute éventualité au cas où certains auraient eu des intentions de perturber le bon fonctionnement du scrutin. Mais il a préféré violer la loi. Pour quel intérêt ? Nous n’en savons encore rien le temps pour nous de creuser pour mieux comprendre ce qui s’est réellement passée. Autre détail et non le moindre BABILA AKAOU, est originaire du département du Mayo-Rey. Le département d’origine du chef politique de la région. Ceux-là même qui avaient décidé d’écarter le sénateur sortant Dr AMADOU ALIM de la liste candidats du RDPC.

Pour le Dr AMADOU ALIM il n’y a plus aucun doute, il est traqué, pourchassé par ses camarades du parti sans doute amis d’hier. Mais pour quelle raisons ? Sans doute des raisons politiques. Ils ont entamé leur coup lors de la confection des listes des candidats RDPC aux sénatoriales. Il était pour eux hors de question de laisser le sénateur devenir Lamido de Mayo-BANTADJE, son propre village pour lequel il a tous les droits. Par respect pour la discipline du parti, il s’était abstenu depuis longtemps à parler publiquement de ces personnes pour qui, il a du respect. Mais le scénario qui vient de se dérouler dans son propre village montre à suffisance que ces derniers n’ont plus de limites et ne pourront jamais s’arrêter tant qu’ils ne le verront pas inerte et sans vie.Le membre titulaire du Comité Central du RDPC s’est senti humilié, trahi, traqué, par des camarades avec qui, il a partagé des longues années durant, un certain nombre d’expériences ce pour la bonne marche du parti et du pays.
